The California Central Coast Region Porsche Club will hold a HPDE Driver Education track day at Buttonwillow Raceway on May 1st., 2026.
Instructors for novice drivers are available on a first come first serve basis.
This is not a Porsche exclusive event, many other cars are qualified to join.
The track layout will be #1 counter clockwise on the Classic Course.
Early check in and safety tech will be available October 31st at the raceway the Pavilion, starting at 4:30pm. We encourage you to take advantage of early registration then join us for dinner at the Raceway Cafe. A social hour will start at 5:30pm, dinner at 6:00, come early, register your car, then enjoy the company of your fellow drivers.
The price to rent the tracks continue to rise every year. This, year we were able to lower some of our prices and keep othes the same thanks to these fantastic sponsors. Please support these great business in the future!

This is a rain or shine event.
Camping sites with hookups and garages are available through the track.
Fuel: Various grades of fuel will be available at the track.
Food will be available at the track.
EV Cars are not allowed.
Event requirements

We follow PCA DE guidelines. We accept completed CCCR Tech Forms from any legitimate auto focused business. Our Tech form here: CCCR 2025 Tech Form.docx Self Tech is not allowed with the exception of Instructors.
Helmets must be Snell SA, SAH, K or M, 2020 or newer after June 30th. Prior to June 30th, 2015SA helmets are approved.
Head and neck restraint systems are STRONGLY recommended for all drivers and passengers. If you are using a 4, 5, or 6 point harness then a head and neck restraint system is required.
PCA requires a addtional safety check of your car within 24 hrs of the event. Have your numbers in place, loose objects removed, head and neck restraints if required. The safety check will be at the grid area at the Pavillion starting at Friday 6:15am. Early registration will be available Thursday, April 30th, at the raceway near the Pavilion, starting at 4:30pm. We encourage you to take advantage of early registration and safety check, then join us for a dinner at the Raceway Cafe. Please register for the dinner on the registration site. Social hour will start 5:30, dinner will start at 6:00, come early, complete registration for your car, enjoy the company of your fellow drivers.
The Stable will hold a free tech inspection at a date to be determined. You will be notified when the date is set.
The gates will be open at 6:00am, bring your completed tech form and blank 24 hr. Safety Tech form, helmet and car to registration. Registration will close at 7:15 am. Please have the full tech completed prior to attending the event! Tech is not available at the track.
If you have raceseats and harness systems, you are rquired to use head and neck restraints. Harness systems are required to be used with an approved race seat. Harness systems must be certified within the last 5 years.
All participants must sign the insurance waivers at the gate prior to entry.
Proper clothing will be mandatory. Cotton long sleeve tee shirt, full length cotton pants, closed toe shoes.
This is a rain or shine event.
Zone 8 requirements for car numbers are 8" height minimum, 1" stroke/width minimum and legible at a distance of 100 feet for the sides of the car and for the front hood of the car. Alternatively, front numbers may be mounted on the upper right corner of the windshield (from the driver’s perspective) with a minimum height of 4 inches. Rear numbers are required with a minimum height of 4 inches
All drivers must have a minimum of four days high speed track experience, signed off by a PCA Instructor to drive solo. Instructors are availalble on a first come first served basis.
